Monastery "St Gavril Lesnovski"

Monastery St Gavril Lesnovski is located in the village of Lesnovo city of Probistip, Macedonia.For the first time the monastery is mentioned in 1330.In 1341 it is renewed by John Oliver an Serbian rich feudal lord and a few years later expanded.In 1937 in Skopje it is named as а seat of the newly formed Zletovo bishopric.There are many manuscripts that have been written in this monastery , that gave contribution for the Slavic language.This is a great place to visit.It has a hostel and a restaurant near the monastery.You can also try traditional Macedonian foods from the village housewives.
